It has a nice deep brown color with a hint of red. The head is full and creamy. It has a mild sweet malt aroma.
Overall it has a nice sweet malt flavor upfront and throughout. The mid to back is very smooth and creamy. On the back is a bit of hops. It's a nice brew with an inoffensive flavor. Unfortunately there is a CO2 aftertaste. It's like the brew needed another day or two before bottling. This takes a pretty good beer and knocks it down a bit. But, drunk straight from the can the CO2 flavor disappears and the malt flavor stands out more.
Perhaps this is just a bad six pack. Without the CO2 it's a pretty good brew if you want an easy going drink that still has some flavor. I'd put it up against Magic Hat #9 or Negra Modelo in flavor. I cautiously recommend.
